Heater Gets Well

YEY

From April 3, a heater in my room had something wrong
(http://blue-coffin.blogspot.com/2008/04/heater-has-broken-down.html)
but I tried to turn it on a little while ago, it started to work! I thought it had broken down, for I tried to turn it on many times but couldn't.

I don't know why but anyway I'm so happy it had fixed automatically :)
I can sleep well tonight.^-^ .... to tell the truth, it was very cold for the past few days.('-')

Heater Has Broken Down

As can be expected from the title....

It was alright until this morning.
But after I went out and back, it wouldn't turn on...

I think I might be able to find the reason by reading explanatory leaflet, if I haven't lost the leaflet.

I'm very glad it is April now, not midwinter...

Well, can I quit to use the heater by now?
Nowadays it's not so cold (though it could be we have snow in May here in Hokkaido island).

So I can cut greenhouse gases!

I only wish that I won't forget that the heater need to fix and won't worry in next autumn...

Easter Morning

More egg and cake(*^-^人^-^*)

I went the nunnery in this morning, and I got them again. An egg and a madeleine. This madeleine was made in another nunnery in Hakodate.

Then, let's eat this cake by now, like yesterday...
n, no... I won't do it again!

Now, in my breakfast time, I eat the egg that I got yesterday. And I'll keep this egg and cake until noon at least. :P

Easter Night

Today is the Easter day.

I went to vigils on Holy Saturday of the nunnery near my house.
We won't keep all-night vigil, actually. ('~' )it's 7:00~9:00 PM around.

After the vigilis, a Sister gave me an easter egg and a sheep-shaped cake. (*^-^人^-^*)

The egg is painted with pink flowers and green leaves beautifully. And the cake is coated with white suger, like white wool.

I ate the cake quickly after took this picture, so it doesn't exist now already ('~')
I suppose I will eat the egg next morning.

Not Eat Beef

Livestock’s long shadow,06.11.29
http://www.virtualcentre.org/en/library/key_pub/longshad/a0701e00.htm

Summary:

This report aims to assess the full impact of the livestock sector on environmental problems, along with potential technical and policy approaches to mitigation. The assessment is based on the most recent and complete data available, taking into account direct impacts, along with the impacts of feed crop agriculture required for livestock production. The livestock sector emerges as one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global. The findings of this report suggest that it should be a major policy focus when dealing with problems of land degradation, climate change and air pollution, water shortage and water pollution, and loss of biodiversity. Livestock’s contribution to environmental problems is on a massive scale and its potential contribution to their solution is equally large. The impact is so significant that it needs to be addressed with urgency. Major reductions in impact could be achieved at reasonable cost.

no T_T

In these days, I don't eat meat. It is not that I avoid them all to pieces, but almost all (except fish).

Of course, it is for my dear Al Gore.
and Anthony Weston, the ethicist I respect most, that also makes an objection against meat eating. well, that i eat fish...is no good actually.

Anyway if we eat much meat, we cannot stop environmental destruction. It helps very much that you avoid beef from now, or eat half as much as you used to do, I think.

Whaling Research

Research?

maybe that is true.

I live in japan and i feel that japanese goverment want their people to hate other nations.

It seems that japanese government sometime makes another country or UN mad on purpose in order to make them criticize japan.

japanese news program is... like this↓ I can't understand why many japanese watch such foolish things.

After making other countries mad, they control domestic mass media and persuade people to believe that foreign people are just idiot and racist, and what japanese government says are always completely right and what foreigh governments say are always inferior to ours. They privent people from being wise by learning from other countries. In doing so, they can carry out politics in their favor.

I think this is why children in japan are not happy because their education is decided by their parents and parents' income, despite japan is rich enough. etc...

Theme of Me in 2008

Happy New Year!!

Today, I settled my theme of 2008.
that is........ "Renaissance".

What I mean by Renaissance is,

1. Renaissance means "rebirth" in French. I'm going to clean out my old self who was in idleness, and WILL COMPLETELY REBIRTH!!

2. Renaissance is the revival of classical literature. Humanists of that time aimed to write beautifully and studied ancient texts in the original. In this year, I WILL COME TO WRITE BEAUTIFULLY too!! And it is set that I have to study Latin and greek.

3. The ideal person of Renaissance is polymath. A polymath is a person who actualize his talent across a wide variety of area. So, this year I WILL TRY TO BE GOOD PERSON IN EVERY WAY!! I believe I will do well at the things that I am bad at before, the development of physical strength, reading and writing, acting quickly and making everything count, etc.

Maybe I'm exaggerating a little. It is just a theme.
I mean, I will act with this target at the core, and improve myself better than the last year.

Long before (a year in 90's and when I was a highschool student) , my theme of the year was "Aesthetic and Sophistication". but I wasn't so aesthetic or sophisticated. LOL

Anyway, I'll do my best =)
